Description:

The design of the Winona Residences creates a new typology for duplexes within the Highlands/Berkeley neighborhood of northwest Denver. Rather than ‘maxing-out’ the bulk plane and placing the interior circulation parallel to the length of the lot, we organized the circulation parallel to the street. This arrangement allows more natural light info the interior of the house as well as orients the bedrooms towards the street and the backyard, rather than the narrow side yards.
